Dorchester House Multi-Service Center, Inc. is established.

Originally Dorchester House Health Center, it is located initially in a trailer next to 1345 Dorchester Avenue. It is formed by a group of residents calling themselves “Determined People of Dorchester” as part of Dorchester House (est. 1887). It becomes affiliated with Boston City Hospital and moves to 1353 Dorchester Avenue in 1974.
